Community Credentialing | Cameron Peak Fire Preparation

To help our citizens prepare for the possibility of new evacuations due to the Cameron Peak Fire, Larimer County Sheriff’s Office and Larimer County Office of Emergency Management will being issuing credentials for residents and property owners of specific areas. Credentials will allow citizens to validate their residency while keeping the area secure.

Stations will be opened for residents and property owners from the communities of Red Feather Lakes, Crystal Lakes, Rustic, those in the Pingree Hill area (CR69 between Rustic and Goodell Corner), and those that have already been evacuated (voluntary or mandatory). Visit  www.larimer.org/cpf  for specific information on date, time, location, and required documentation.

If you do not live in one of the above mentioned areas please do not come to a credentialing location - additional credentialing stations will be set up for other areas as the need arises.

When/Where:  Wednesday, August 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

For residents/owners in these areas that are unable to make it to one of the three locations on 8/19/20, another opportunity to receive a credential will be on Friday, 8/21/20, at 200 West Oak St, Fort Collins, CO, 80521 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (first floor Hearing Room). If you are unable to make it to any of the sites in person you may email oem@larimer.org in order to coordinate receiving a credential.

The following documentation will suffice to receive credentials:

·        Copy of a utility bill with your name and address inside affected area

·        Larimer County Assessor record of property ownership inside affected area

·        Rental agreement/lease with your name and address inside the affected area

You may go to any of the three sites to receive your credentials.  Only one credential will be issued for each home/property.

If you own a home/property in these areas, but do not live nearby and would like someone local to access your property:  email oem@larimer.org with your full name, contact information, the address that needs to be checked, and name/contact information of the person you authorize to access your property.
